Soul of the Nation

 

President Biden’s remarks on the ‘battle for the soul of nation’ warned, “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

Harsh words directed at nearly half of the electorate. He went on to say, “and, folks, it is within our hands – yours and mine – to stop the assault on American democracy.”

This could be passed off as election year political hyperbole or then again not.

It was a troubling speech, from its staging with the blood red background and Marine guard, to its absolute demonization of his political opposition. None of that was by accident. More troubling still is that President Biden is not in charge. He no longer possesses the mental acuity to be. Instead he is the puppet to those who are -- those in our administrative agencies who are not content to administer the nation’s laws but rather, are intent setting policy without our consent. The list of unprecedented administrative initiatives undertaken in the past eighteen months is breath taking:

*A student loan forgiveness program that transfers a $500 million to $1 trillion debt obligation from the borrower to the general public;

*The comprehensive search of a former president residence and current political opponent with what amounted to a general warrant and in violation of fourth amendment rights;

*The gradual imposition of Environmental, Social and Governance disclosure standards on financial institutions;

*Forcing nearly all Americans submit to an experimental vaccination through coercion;

*Suspending freedom of speech through the use of second party agents including publishers, social media platforms, and “woke” institutions and employers;

*Imposing a ceiling on domestic oil and natural gas production by virtually freezing new leases on federal lands and coastal waters (leasing 126228 acres so far as this year compared to 4.4 million acres under Trump and 7.25 million under Obama in the first 19 months of  their administrations); and

*Establishing an open borders policy by refusing to secure our borders through the faithful execution of existing immigration law.

These are policy objectives of an administrative ruling class to which the Biden name a gives a cloak of legitimacy. With President Biden’s ‘soul of the nation’ speech it unveiled the soul of our ruling class and its intolerance of opposition. With that in mind understand that that to build back better means to also destroy everything that is in the way.

The Climate Control Knob  September 17     United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change most recent assessment report attributes all of the roughly 1.0 ᵒC temperature rise since 1850, the end of the Little Ice Age, human generated greenhouse gas emissions. Here’s what they say: “The likely range of total human caused global surface temperature increase from1850–1900 to 2010—2019 is 0.8 ᵒ C to 1.3 ᵒC, with a best estimate of 1.07ᵒC.
